Which meant that the caps-lock status was inverted somewhere along the line, and Enter behaved like Ctrl+Enter in MSN.
At least the KVM I use here is not made by Belkin (it's actually a Rextron MYhopper2 KMH2), and so it is possible to reset it without yanking cables out. Getting it to reset the *right* channel, on the other hand, was a bit more fun.
Any bets on me scoring the hat-trick by wedging, crashing or otherwise glitching my MP3 player next? Come to think of it, I've already managed it once (a low battery at just the right level convincied it that ther were no music files, nevermind what Windows saw, and a reflash was needed to fix *that*).
