Super Mario Bros. Power Up Card Game

New game time! I recently spotted the Super Mario Bros. Power Up Card Game in, appropriately enough, GAME, and picked it up on a whim. It turned out to be a good whim - myself and the family played a few rounds of it this evening and it's completely bonkers. It's a bit like a simplified rapid-fire poker game with no betting. There's very little thinking or decision-making required, and each round goes very quickly with decisive results. Luck does play a large part though not exclusively and some tactical play is possible (the game also gives players the opportunity to make spectacularly bad decisions if they lose track of the cards...). And while the win condition is last-man-standing its quite possible to kamikaze an opponent out at the same time. Watch out, pasta nighters!
