Today's random encounter, while strolling back from the nearby village for lunch (I say village - half-a-dozen small villages have mutually borged each other over the years and you can no longer tell where one ends and the next starts) is this:

Specifically, it's HMS Sultan's steam lorry. Why the Royal Navy has one I don't know - it's not like any of their ships are steam powered these days (well... technically the subs are, but I'm not sure how useful steam lorry engineering skills are with nuclear reactors), but anywhere there it was trundling along to Netley Marsh Steam & Craft Show.
