The really nice thing about having bought a 3G internet dongle when they were still (relatively) new and shiny is you get tariffs that don't exist anymore. Like one where the credit doesn't expire after a month, or indeed after any period of time.

The downside is it's more expensive per megabyte than current deals, though that's not an issue unless you're using large amounts of data. 1GB goes quite far as long as I avoid Youtube :)
