NaBloPoMo so far

It looks like talismancer hasn't updated since last Tuesday's filler. That's 22 days of posts, which is exactly the same as he managed last year. Is this some sort of cut-down NaBloPoMo that I don't know about, and does this mean I can stop posting now?

Oddly enough, it's actually gotten easier as the days go by for me to achieve the daily post. Usually by this point I've completely run out of original ideas and have fallen back on a mixture of filler, memes, and pretentious art ("this is not a post"). Instead most of the past few days have actually had proper reasonable-length posts. I've even managed to get something up before midnight each day, without fudging dates (well... day 1 was fudged by a couple of minutes, but that's because I deliberately wanted 11:59 as the timestamp). Admittedly at least one of those was an "oops, I'm not going to make it tonight" post, but that did go up with two minutes to spare.

That said, I still think talismancer has generally put more thought into his posts than I have. Quite a few posts here have just been me bashing together random concepts until I've got a couple of paragraphs worth of stuff. Several more have been two-parters, and there's been the traditional rememberance (that one was actually supposed to be longer, but I couldn't find the photos I thought I'd taken), meme and quiz. Over in talismancer there's not been a single meme, and I think the average word count is higher there as well.

Of course, the daily posts will in all likelihood cease as soon as the month is over and this journal will return to its usual state of updating at random intervals :)
