Okay, here's a proper rant this time. I wanted to set a custom SMS jingle on a couple of phones...

On a Nokia 6210 Navigator:

Me: I want to send you a file over Bluetooth.
Nokia: Afternoon 'guv, someone's trying to send me a file. Is this you?
Me: Yup!
Nokia: Okay, guv, I've got a new message.
Me: Go ahead and open it. Then save it for me.
Nokia: Certainly, guv
Me: Great! Right, I want to change my SMS jingle.
Nokia: One moment guv... okay, guv, here's all the music files on the phone and memory card.
Me: Scroll down... scroll down... that one!
Nokia: Certainly, guv.

On a HTC Sensation:

Me: I want to send you a file over Bluetooth.
HTC: Dude! Someone's sending me a file! What's the passkey!
Me: Passkey? What passkey? Oh great, I have to pair before I can send you files? Fine. Go discoverable.
HTC: Dude! Someone’s trying to pair with me! What's the passkey!
Me: *passkey*
HTC: Dude, we've paired! Groovy!
Me: Right. Okay, I want to send you that file over Bluetooth again.
HTC: Dude! Someone's send me a file! Is this you!
Me: Yup!
HTC: Dude! I've got a new file!
Me: Great! Right, I want to change my SMS jingle.
HTC: Dude! I've got the most righteous jingles ever here! Pick one! Pick one!
Me: Scroll down... scroll down... hang on, where's my jingle? Oh great, I have to save it in a special folder? Fine. Open the file, then save it in your special folder.
HTC: Dude?
Me: You mean you can't just save it somewhere? Fine. Good job I've got this file manager installed...
HTC: Dude, file managers are totally uncool!
Me: Now where do you save Bluetooth files? Right, copy it from there and paste it in your notifications folder.
HTC: Dude, stop being so uncool!
Me: Great! Right, I want to change my SMS jingle.
HTC: Dude! I've got the most righteous jingles ever here! Pick one! Pick one!
Me: Scroll down... scroll down... that one!
HTC: Dude, excellent choice! Groovy!

Yeah...

I usually just end up hooking the phone up via USB in mass storage mode and parking the files directly where they need to go. *eyeroll*

Otherwise, spot on with how HTC's incarnation of the DroidOS operates- My incredible is... not quite that incredible, sadly.
