Tall ships (porthole)

It amuses me that middle-clicking links to open in a new tab is broken on so many websites, given that tabs are the One True User Interface. It amuses me even more that shift-clicking to open in a new window always works.
Demons of stupidity

Yet another reason why "#!" in URLs is a horrible abomination that should be fired into the sun: it breaks the semantics of <link rel="alternate">.

This micro-rant brought to you by finding that Facebook does provide RSS feeds for fanpages, but only if you navigate directly to the non-hashbang version of the fanpage URL. And their Javascript doesn't update the <link> tag (I'm not even sure if you can rewrite that via Javascript) when it does an AJAX load of a different page.
