Hmm, it looks like Dan may have given me his conjunctivitis. Woke up at some ungodly hour with one eye glued shut by dried sleepy gunk, after coming out of a dream where I dreamt that a wasp had flown into my eye and I'd blinked and caught its wings with my eyelids.
The eye's a bit reddened, but seems to have mostly stopped weeping. Hopefully it won't get any worse.
...on another note, something just wedged the entire computer for 5-10 seconds. Given that the disk light was also on solid, I think I'm about to lose a hard disk (I've been predicting failure for several months now, based on a gradually increasing whine from the bearings). And I think I can guess which one as well. As nice as IBM disks are, they do seem to suffer from a vibrating platter, and have a tendency to after several years throw up their hands and give up with little or no warning.
Well, for a change I actually have a spare, and I've been meaning to get hold of WinXP Pro and install that for a bit. Losing the system disk will give me some incentive to actually do so.
