[Playing |Not telling!]

It's all talismancer's fault.

Step 1: Put your iPod media player on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 30 20 15 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

Put my media player on random? Okay, here goes... *presses the button marked DO NOT TOUCH*

1 One day, one night, one moment, my dreams could be tomorrow
2 Over swamps of alligators, I made my weary way
3 Again I see you standing there watching me
4 From the day we arrived on the planet, and blinking stepped into the sun
5 You keep on giving me the hold up

6 Lully, lulla, thou little tiny child
7 We've been seeing what you wanted, got us cornered right now
8 Hi-ri-u, Ho-ro-ho, Ho-ri-u, Him-o-ro-ho
9 Cast your eye tears on to me and I'll show you what you really need
10 Came into a dream in the night, when all the world was sleeping so tight

11 [Title] their flocks by night all seated on the ground
12 Sin eriol natha túr in úgarnen Mi naurath
13 Thart orainn, reált geal san oíche
14 In the race to get out of this place I am checking my face in the back of a spoon
15 [Title] no crib for a bed

16 Everybody's rushing around trying to keep a hold on some piece of mind
17 When theres a shadow you reach for the Sun, when there is love in you, look for the one
18 I'm strange and you're strange, don't want you to change
19 Hey baby, thought you were the one who tried to run away
20 Hard to tell, or recognise a sign

21 Asato ma sad gamaya, asato ma sad gamaya
22 [Title] Christe! Rex gloriae!
23 Wake up it's time, need to find a better place to hide
24 Everytime it rains, I think of you
25 Oh you know I did it, it's over and I feel fine

26 For your eyes only, can see me through the night
27 Je ne dors plus, Je suis folle
28 A worried man with a worried mind, no one in front of me and nothing behind
29 Nobody likes you, everyone left you, they're all out without you, having fun
30 Buy it, use it, break it, fix it, trash it, change it, melt - upgrade it

Lines will be open for about a week. Comments screened until the answers are revealed. For each song I'll give a point for the title and another point for the artist (or closest artist-like information).

11: Ye shepherds watched their flocks by night?

26: For Your Eyes Only? From the James Bond of the same name. No idea who sung it, my version has no artist.

Starring: Captain Obvious!

1 - Something by Enya?
5 - Basement Jaxx, Romeo

8 - Clannad?

12 - music by Howard Shore.
14 - Aaaagh, I should know this one. I guess it's either 12 bar acid blues by Siobhan Donaghy or Gone in the morning by Newton Faulkner.

29 - Green day, letterbomb
30 - Daft Punk, Technologic
