Another Sunday, another random film!

This negative claims to be a Fuji Color 200, so I'm scanning this one as Fuji Super HR 200 Gen 1. That gives... well, old-film-like white balance for the Battle Abbey photos, and fairly decent colour for the flypast ones. Eh, I've spent enough time playing around with presets in the hope of finding something that matches this type of film (Fuji Color seems particularly tricky to scan, which is a pain as I've got a lot of it).

Anyway, first up: Battle Abbey! I've been here a few times now - these photos were taken in 2013 - and it's always a fascinating mix of parts I recognise from previous trips and parts that have changed (I believe that since I've last been they've redone the exhibition in the gatehouse, so perhaps I'll make another trip there this year. Maybe I'll even find the geocache I failed to track down in 2007!). There's only a few photos here, as I think most were on another film.

The high street - the scanner has given this a rather old-fashioned look.

That film sat in the camera for a good few months, as the next photos are from June 2014! Specifically, a flypast at Lee-on-Solent to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. I posted some digital photos last year, but I also had the Nikon with me and took a few photos with that first.

First there was a flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, consisting of a Lancaster and two Spitfires:

They were followed by the BBMF's Dakota:

Next, the Royal Navy Historic Flight carried out a flypast of their Sea Fury in formation with a pair of BBMF Spitfires:

The final flypast was a pair of Dakotas with a poppy drop in the Solent - at this point the film had run out, so I switched to digital. This photo I originally uploaded in last year's remembrance day post.
